Grants for School Clothing

Every year, the Trust offers school clothing grants, in the form of vouchers, to low-income families who live in the former Borough of Sutton Coldfield and are in receipt of certain benefits.

WHO MAY APPLY?

Parents/guardians of children at Primary and/or Secondary School can apply if they are:

  1. a permanent resident of Sutton Coldfield in one of the following 4 Wards:- New Hall, Vesey, Trinity or Four Oaks, and
  2. in receipt of any one of the following support payments:
  • Income Support
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Working Tax Credit (note: maximum income levels may apply)
  • Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance

WHEN AND HOW TO APPLY?

Applications can be made from the start of Summer Term by collecting a form direct from Sutton Coldfield schools, or you can download an application form from this site (see below).  Alternatively, Contact us to receive a form by post.  Applications must be made by 30 November.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE GRANT?

The value of the Grant is currently £75.00 per child.  Grants may be given for a maximum of 4 children per family ie. £300.00.

HOW IS THE GRANT PAID?

Grants are made by issuing vouchers that can be used at Clive Mark Schoolwear, Wylde Green.

For applications received via the schools, vouchers will be posted to Sutton Coldfield schools in July for distribution before the end of the school year.  For applications received direct, vouchers will be posted to the application address.
